E-Cycle Your E-Waste

Due to the overwhelming response to our July e-waste recycling event, we will sponsor another event along with our friends at Goodwill. Thanks to the savvy, responsible recyclers in the City, we recycled over 3,500 pounds of e-waste. Those dropping off one or two items were in the minority – the average number of consumer electronics recycled per person was about five! Most of us understand not to throw electronics into the trash, as it will end up in landfills, but they aren’t exactly sure what to do with them. Goodwill recycles the electronics and distributes the refurbished goods to disadvantaged residents of San Francisco as part of the City’s Digital Inclusion Initiative.
San Francisco residents with valid identification may drop off the consumer electronics listed below, working or not.
