 Orcon Beneficial Nematodes
Kill fleas in the yard and garden where they breed! An effective flea control program attacks fleas in three places: on pets, in carpet and upholstery and outside in the soil. Beneficial Nematodes actually eat and thrive on flea cocoons and preadult fleas in the yard and garden. Orcon Beneficial Nematodes are a 100% natural live product. One container contains millions of microscopic beneficial nematodes, Steinernema carpocapsae. Here in the Bay Area you can apply Orcon Beneficial Nematodes any time of year. To kill flea larvae, simply mix the nematodes with water and spray on soil and lawns (see directions). They begin to work within 24 hours of application and remain effective for about two years (although we recommend annual application). Beneficial nematodes attack flea larvae in the soil, bark or ground litter. They also attack more than 230 kinds of garden pests, including cutworms, gypsy moth larvae, cabbage root maggots and white grubs. They do not affect humans, animals or plants and are completely compatible with beneficial insects such as lady bugs, earthworms and praying mantids.
