Cole Hardware & Small Business Week

National Small Business Week took place the week of April 21-25 with events in Washington D.C. and New York City. This year marks the 55th anniversary of the Small Business Administration (SBA) and the 45th annual proclamation of Small Business Week. San Francisco’s Small Business Week kicks off on May 12th with A Taste of San Francisco, from 5:30 – 8:30 PM at City Hall. A great opportunity for networking with entrepreneurs, corporations and organizations, this free event will also be featuring Flavors of San Francisco, with tastes of outstanding local restaurants. In addition, a Resource Fair to connect businesses with the wealth of assistance available.
Cole Hardware will be honored with the Jeffrey Butland Family-Owned Business of the Year Award for Northern California and we’re proud to say that we are being considered as the award choice for the entire State of California, and perhaps nationally.
“I’m so glad we’re able to recognize such a treasured part of the small business scene here as Cole Hardware. Established companies like them are rare enough, but their contributions to the community made them an outstanding choice for us,” Gary Marshall, Public Information Officer for the SBA in San Francisco, said.
“Small businesses drive our economy, creating jobs and opportunities for Americans in every community across the country,” SBA Administrator Steve Preston said. San Francisco Locally Owned Merchants Alliance (SFLOMA) will have a booth at the Resource Fair with information on how to join this valuable local resource. To find out more about the exciting week of activities celebrating the City’s Small Business Week including workshops, conferences and networking mixers, visit www.acteva.com/go/cityhall.
Cole Hardware would like to invite our community of friends to attend A Taste of San Francisco with us and share in our award.
If it wasn’t for the strong support that we receive from the residents of the City, we wouldn’t be here today!
