The Blueair Air Purifier was engineered and built for people who don’t want to compromise on health or function. Standard triclosan-coated paper or glass filter fibers, which can harm the environment when released into the waste stream, were replaced with safer, nontoxic polypropylene, which produces only carbon dioxide and water as it decomposes. Because polypropylene is waterproof, Blueair filters resist contamination from bacteria, viruses and mold without chemical additives or washes. Even a special powder coat finish is used to produce no chemical outgassing.
